Phantom Limbs

A time when a reality only exists in a person’s mind happens a lot of the time with bugs, so here is an example….

You see a spider in the corner of the room, so you grab a napkin to kill it with, but the celling is too tall so you stand on a chair to reach it, the chair isn’t quite as tall as you need it so you strech up and attempt to kill the spider, but when you look in the napkin there is no spider! Then you feel a tickle on your arm, “AHHHH!” you think it is the spider, so you check you arm, and there is no spider. Then you check your other arm, no spider. Then you feel somthing tickle on your neck…. but again it is not the spider.

Obviously the spider fell on the floor, but until you find the spider you keep assuming that the spider is on you somewhere. This reality exists only in your head, because you feel tickles like the spider is on you, but it isn’t when you check.
