Ethics can be quantized to a certain extent. There are situations where you know it has been taken too far, like the situation that was used of someone stealing from work. The fact that they are stealing is wrong but then there are other factors, like why the are stealing, if they had a good intention there might not be as much of a problem as if there were bad intentions behind the stealing. The ethics behind the situation would be based on the extent f the situation, which would put a limit on the ethics therefore quanitfying it.
